Concentration:
Ms. McMahan's primary concentration is litigation and insurance law and coverage
matters. She represents clients and insurers in all Federal District Courts in
the State of Alabama, in the Circuit and District Courts of the State of
Alabama, in the United States Tax Court, in Bankruptcy Court, and in
administrative proceedings. She participated in the defense of manufacturing
clients in the Federal Multi-District litigation regarding breast implants and
diet drugs. As a part of her Appellate practice she has appeared before the
Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Alabama Supreme Court, and the Alabama
Court of Civil Appeals.

Ms. McMahan presents a paper on Recent Decisions of the Alabama Supreme Court

has done so for over ten years. She has conducted seminars for the Birmingham
Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association, the Alabama Defense Lawyers
Association, and the Alabama Bar Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
