SMGB law was founded in 2007 by Scott Simpson and his wife Patti Simpson. 

The firm was founded on one simple principle: Competency. Our firm has core areas of expertise, and we limit our practice to those areas. We are not a full service law firm, and we never will be. We offer boutique legal services in a handful of practice areas. By focusing on the depth of our practice, SMGB Law has achieved a national reputation. We now practice regularly in multiple states, for numerous Fortune 500 companies, large, privately held enterprises and national trade organizations.

A Foundation of Experience

W. Scott Simpson established our law firm in 2007. His vision was to provide the level of experience, creativity and technology required in today’s business environment. His areas of experience are appellate cases and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.

Partners Howard Glick, Steve Burford and Ann McMahan brought their wealth of experience to the firm in 2008, 2009 and 2011, respectively. Collectively, their insights and expertise are the foundation of the firm, today.
